These slit scans were made with a fish tank, some plastic strips to mask off a strip, some sheets of black paper, lots of water and some washing up liquid. I also made a stirrer using a round handled fork and a strip of coca-cola can metal as a paddle inserted into a cordless drill. An attempt was made to remove the horizontal lines which were a result of the 50Hz electricity supply for the lighting by using battery powered torches, although I found I could remove the stripes using a mask in photoshop.
