Clypeus
Commissioned ink painting for Jane Charlesworth, with the livery colours of the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company.
Inspired by the original photo of Clypeus at the W J Yarwood Sons Shipbuilders adjacent to her butty Corvus after construction in 1935. Used as a fire fighting boat during the London blitz and was a working boat until being converted in the early 1990s.
Photos from boat trip on the River Nene, Summer 2016.
