Chronochromatography workshop
Held at OVADA as part of the ‘Director’s Cut’ exhibition, 22 April 2017.
I made a slit scan camera out of a Pound Land selfie stick and some blackout material so that participant’s movements could be captured. I also made a graded filter strip which allows the capture of time with colour gradation, hence the name ‘chronochromatograph’ = time-colour picture.
Thank you Ryan Quarterman, Adrian Pawley, Katie Hellon, Hannah Wilmshurst and Lilia Bonacorsi and Ruth Porter for your amazing ceilidh recreation which is difficult without a ceilidh band, and various unsuspecting members of the public for your participation.
I would love to do this kind of thing again!
